[ Sometime early in the morning, Minato may suddenly receive two separate bags of... raw fish. They're nicely wrapped up and they even have some ice in the bags themselves, to keep them decently fresh. Attached to the bags is a single sheet of paper that may give some kind of idea on who would just randomly send fish. ]

[ It's some hours later when Souji gets a reply. Because, you know, Minato doesn't wake up easily, and it took a while for the ice to start melting on his sheets and the smell of fish to eventually permeate his dreams and senses. When he did wake up, Shirosaba was gnawing on one of the packages.

He was not happy.

Consequently, Souji doesn't get a cute drawing in response. ]

[ Souji just assumes that after a couple of hours, Minato is just enjoying his fish. He made sure to give him around three or four of them so there's enough for Minato's bottomless pit of a stomach. He doesn't suspect much until Minato sends him a note. Well, this is confusing. ]

You didn't like them?

I slept with the fishes.
Literally.

[ How could you do this to him. ]

[ ... Oh no, can he imagine Minato's displeased face right now? Maybe he can. He's not ready for a social link reversal already... ]

For how long?

Too long.

[ Senpai is displeased.

]

[ That picture is still a cat so that does nothing to make Souji panic, okay. He wants to bury his face in that cat. ]

I'm sorry. I didn't know you would sleep that long.

How are your bedsheets?

Fragrant.

[ You do not get to bur your face in this cat until you make this up to him. ]

I'm sorry. I truly am.

Can I offer to wash your sheets and clothes?

[ How high are the chances of him getting clawed if he buries his face in the cat before he makes it up to him... ]

[ Minato? High. Shirosaba? Low. She's pleased with the offering. ]

Yes.

[ That's your starting bid, right? ]

[ Well, the fussy cats are always so much more fun to play with... The clawing might be worth it. ]

I can come in ten minutes.

If that's all right with you.

[ You toe a dangerous line, Souji. Your fate is in the cards... ]

Bring clothes.

[ Yeah he's just...he doesn't have many. And now they smell like fish too. ]

[ Well, he always liked living a life full of risks... He's a Bad Boy. ]

How many sets do you need?

[ Souji's not... even going to argue against Minato just taking his clothes. This is probably literally the least he could do for Minato after ruining everything. (And he just wanted to be nice and share some of his catch...) ]

[ From the wrong side of the tracks. Knew it.

You know what they say about the road to hell, Souji. ]

Just one.

[ He's only got one. ]

[ Be my bad boy. Be my man... ]

All right.

Is there anything else you need?

[ His dignity? ]

Bags.

[ Souji can't bring something that Minato never had in the first place. ]

I'll bring a few.

Be there in ten.

[ And here is a knock on the door ten minutes later, give or take a few extra mins. Souji brought everything that Minato asked for, such as the clothes and bags. He actually brought two pair of clothes: one uniform and one casual. He doesn't know which one Minato would want so he figured he'd just bring both and let him choose. Otherwise, he also brought Cream-san and along with a separate bag with some snacks... He feels bad and he is going to make it up to Minato through food, okay. ]

[ Shirosaba doesn't seem like she wants to bother answering the door, not when she could spend her time gnawing on raw fish. Minato does, however, and he's down to just an undershirt and boxers. Yeah, it doesn't look that great, but he clearly still smells a bit of fish.

Hi, Souji. ]

...

[ ... Souji knew that Minato asked for a change of clothes but he'd figure that Minato would have more to wear than just an undershirt and boxers. ]

... Can I come in?

[ Minato is a cheap asshole. Please take him shopping.

He nods, slowly stepping to the side.

Now Shirosaba greets them with a chirp. Thanks for the fish! ]

[ Souji walks in and the smell of fish instantly hits him. Oh man, that... that is bad. Yeah, he can definitely see why senpai would be upset. He really didn't expect that Minato would just sleep for hours with the ice slowly melting with the fish, like, he knows that Minato just kind of falls asleep but he always kind of figured that might be mana related... He knows otherwise now, but man, he sure does feel guilty now and he apologetically bows his head. ]

... I truly do apologize. I didn't consider this would happen. [ He holds out the bag of clothes first. ] I've brought you two set of clothes to choose from, so you can take a shower and I'll clean up here.

[ While Souji is slow and apologetic, Cream-san literally wastes no time to rush in and join Shirosaba with the fish because fuck yeah, more fish. At least the cats are social linking really well?? ]

[ To be honest, Souji, if he didn't actually know you're a nice guy and meant well, he probably wouldn't have answered at all. He does want Souji to feel guilty, of course. But he'll get over it and then probably bring it up to make Souji feel guilty again when convenient.

Shirosaba appears to be excited as one can be to greet another cat, but only for a moment so she can continue eating. Luckily there's plenty to go around!

Minato nods again, taking the bag of clothes, and says simply, ]

I'll be back.

[ Before shuffling out of the room. Time to bathe. ]

[ Bring it up when Minato wants to get a really elaborate meal because it might just work on Souji... Honestly, he's probably going to do exactly just that after Minato returns because he really does feel bad, especially looking at the state of the bed. Well, he guesses it's time to get to work and cracks open a window. ]

[ As cute and romantic as Shirosaba and Cream-san's dinner date is going on with the fine fish dinner, Souji will have to shoo them away from the bed. In fact, he'll just pick them up and take them outside the room (Cream-san meowing in protest the entire time) because he wants to clean the bed without being afraid he'd step on them and plus... he doesn't exactly want to take away their meal so he just takes one of his extra plastic bags and places the fish over it, then sets it out in the hallway, right beside the door. That should hopefully keep them occupied while he gets to taking off all the covers and sheets. He'll grab Minato's wet and dirty clothes, wherever those are, and just carry all of that to wherever they go for laundry. Hopefully by the time he's back, Minato would be all washed up and smelling less like Flounder and his friends. ]

[ Shirosaba isn't too pleased about being displaced, but once they have access to food again, she miraculously doesn't care. So easy to please.

Likewise, Minato's mood seems to have improved after taking a shower. When he returns, he's wearing clothes that are definitely too big for him, hanging off his frame and making him look a little like a kid who has decided to try on adult clothes for fun. There's a towel on his head, but the gloomy cloud that hung over him has mostly lifted.

He even pets the cats before entering the room again. ]

...It smells less fishy.
